![]() The common mistake I see from starting Med mains are them, just standing idly invitingly open for Snipers to take down or Soldiers to crocket. Here are some points I've gathered from my friends and mentors as notes for myself (and now for you guys!) #TEAM FORTRESS 2 MEDIC FACE HOW TO#As a Medic, train yourself to learn how to defend, push or fall back when needed and to make critical decisions. While it could have been common sense for the team to protect you, sometimes (most of the time actually- ) the whole team can get so caught up from attacking/defending that you are left alone to just tail around. #TEAM FORTRESS 2 MEDIC FACE FULL#If you manage to hit at 3 times or kill 1-2, you've got yourself a full uber! Though I highly advice not to just charge alone at an enemy to get those hits for uber (unless you're really desperate)Īnd on to the next point: Gameplay and PositionsĪs Medic, you are the teams valued healer. It deals a 65 damage rate and gives you 25% uber boosts for every hit/kill to an enemy. In the right hands, perhaps of a highly skilled Medic, this could be a huge tide turner if used effectively!Ĭ.)Ubersaw is the most popular melee. You are able to switch to every mode with the Reload button and charge at intervals. >Vaccinator: underrated, this is famously known as the medigun to protect teams from hackers! They grant 4 small ubercharges, with different enhanced damage resistance and deny crits from Bullets, Fire, and Explosion. Do take note though that the ubercharge for this one will not provide invulnerability or crits, only a more rapid healing succession. There's never an inbetween! Quick fix lives up to its name with its rapid healing rate versus of that with the Stock Medigun. >Quick-Fix: Perfect for when a team can live long enough than 10 seconds or a team full of newbies. This is a second to-go for most Medic mains when their Frontliners can hold and protect their ground quite well without the need of invulnerabiltiy! It gives the pocket a 100% crit rate damage, and is mostly used when there's another Medic in team who's running a Stock Medi-gun. >Kritzkreig: If you are on the offensive side of a game, a nice damage deal can boost up a team's progression with Kritz. A good Med can dish out 2-3 ubers at a life (If the team knows how to protect them lol), BUT, Medic has other mediguns for situational purposes that's highly effective if used in the right time and in the right hands. (38-75 damage rate mind you) And when it comes to healing team mates, a Crusaders can give a 75 heal rate (upclose) or 150 (from afar) than a Stock with none at all.ī.)Stock Medigun without question is the most useful for most cases due to its invulnerability properties. can barely max out on what it can do at a 10 damage rate versus with a Crusaders that deals damage based on distance. This is the vanilla loadout, but most Medics run Crusader's Crossbow, Stock Medigun, and an Ubersaw.Ī.)Stock Syringe vs Crusaders has a stark difference. As a standard, Medic starts up with a Stock Syringe Gun, Stock Medigun, and a Bonesaw. I will only be touching on the more popular choices. We'll dice all of the things for Medic topic by topic starting with: the Meta Loadouts! Always remember that you don't have to run with this guide as this serves just as an alternative or a direction for you start with! Remember to find the play style you're comfortable with and have fun. But I want to share all the knowledge I've collected from friends and random stranger mentors. Moving on! with only 600+ hours on TF2, I still have much to learn as a growing Medic main. So don't take my word for this since this is the known meta!) or just scroll all the way down if you're in a TL DR mood and you just came for the face reveal :0 Read on for some casual tips for Medic (Which I use alot -only- in Casual. Hello everyone, with the recent poll results I've decided to combine the top two poll choices (just an excuse so I can finally make a Medic guide rip). ![]()
